Cluster of black spots on vulva

Hi was wondering if anyone could help with some advice.i have recently found a cluster of black spots on my vulva, about half a dozen, varied in size & one is quite raised..had an e consult with gp yesterday & they sent me a pic saying does it look like this which it didnt ..it was an image of genital herpes..looked nothing like it..obviously I've googled images & mine looks like an image of vulva melanoma..does anyone know anything about this condition..gp consult just said they will be in touch by friday before 6.30pm

  • Hello Gezzajnr and welcome to the forum.

    I'm sorry about the worries your current symptoms are causing but you did the right thing by letting your GP know and hopefully they'll be able to tell you more when they get back in touch with you tomorrow.

    In the meantime try not to self diagnose through google if you can as it has a tendency to make fears and worries worse as many of our members here have found out.

    I have found a few black spots on my vulva, I can't seem to find anything similar on google. I have an appointment with a nurse on Tuesday. Couldn't get into see the dr. I found one years ago and never thought anything of it. I hav recently been having trouble with my bladder. Afte a CT scan they said I have a large cyst on my ovary and what ok like melanomas..but because it was a different department he couldn't refer me to the correct people i have to go via my GP. Nothing will be done this side of Christmas. But i m starting to worry about it.
