Waiting timed

Hi all,

I went to my GP last week with lump on right breast and was told I would get the 2 week appointment, had letter today to say if I had not had any contact by today to ring their appointment line. They informed me due to backlog with covid it would be 6 to 8 weeks before I would have appointment. Going out of my mind with worry.

Has anyone else had to wait this long for first appointment?

Hi,

I've had the complete opposite. I went to my GP two weeks ago and she told me it could be upto 6 weeks however, it's been 2 weeks and I've had a phone call calling me to clinic.

I'm going for a lump in my breast too x

I suppose it's different waiting times in different parts of country, I am in Solihull, West Midlands.

Yeah you could be right there! I'm in West Yorkshire so times may vary. If you have the means and you're making yourself sick through worrying, you can go private to get a scan etc? Just to clear your mind? Just an idea anyway x
