Worried about ovarian cancer

Hi everyone,

Sorry for the long post

I am 21, which I know it's extremely young and rare for ovarian cancer but..

I have been struggle for the past few months with extreme back and stomach pains, so bad it hurts to get up in the mornings. I never feel hungry anymore but when I decide I need to eat I can never finish a meal and feel very full and sick straight away. I am always tired no matter how much sleep I get and every night without fail I wake up dripping wet in sweat.
I have lost 2.5 stone in 2 months
I spoke to my doctor and she has referred me for an ultrasound, as my blood test show my body is fighting an infection but all other tests have come back fine.

has anyone had anything like this and the results come back positive? Please get back to me

Thank you all x

  • Hi,

I have the exact same issues...back pain, pelvic pain, stomach pain, etc. all on my right side. I also have completely gone off food - feeling sick/full straightaway. I have had two ultrasounds that showed a cyst on my right ovary which is being monitored, but they said it was 'functional'. They never said how big it was but aren't concerned. If it's not a problem, why is it causing so many symptoms?! One of the things they keep throwing around is pelvic inflammatory disease, but I practice safe sex and my STD tests are clear.

I am also 21, hope this is some reassurance .

  • Thanks for the reply!
must be very frustrating for you knowing there is something wrong due to your symptoms but being told it's fine! I hope you get the answers you're looking for soon.

I have had many checks for infections in my urine, std, kidneys, and all have come back clear too!

I have a scan booked for the 26th this month, but If you get any answers in the meantime please don't hesitate to tell me.

My best wishes to you x
