Possible Lymphoma?

Reaching out to see if this situation is familiar to anyone.

Had a lump under in one armpit over the summer which GP thought was just an infection and did eventually disappear, also breathlessness and tight chest which I was told may be due to anaemia.

3 months on, anaemia is slightly better, still have breathlessness and ongoing discomfort under my arm though no more lumps. GP video appointment suggested a physical examination to check out lymph nodes and possible ultrasound. No appointments available until the middle of next week.

Of course I'm now super worried. Noone has mentioned lymphoma but I think that's what the video GP was considering... not liking the waiting and worrying at all.

  • Hello. Sorry to hear you are going through this.

I went to the doctors three weeks ago with an enlarged lymph node u fet my left armpit. Dr gave me antibiotics for an infection, the lump does seem to have disappeared but my arm pit is still throbbing and tender. I have totally convinced myself it's Lymphoma as Inwoke up last night soaking with sweat last night. I'm 42 and have given it till Monday before Inring the dr Back.
sending hugs, your not in your own

  • Thank you. The throbbing tender feeling sounds very familiar. No sweats here but my chest feels very uncomfortable. I would definitely give the doctor a ring back. I'm kind of wishing I'd done it sooner now but had assumed it was all related to anaemia. Thinking now the anaemia might be a symptom not the cause.

  • Hi there, I've had pain under my left rib and side for a while and the last week have suffered some night sweats, not drenching and extreme fatigue. This follows pain in right side back and under ribs so obviously I've thought whatever this is has spread! Blood tests were all normal and I had an ultrasound last week which was clear apart from an 18mm gallstone. Being referred to an abdominal consultant but am really worried it could be a lymphoma or a malignancy of some kind. Your comments would be appreciated
