My husband has, been told that he is too poorly for a lung biopsy, and therefore can't have treatment. What will happen now? They can't find out if the mass is malignant or benign

Hello Ben1
I'm sorry to hear that your husband is too unwell for a biopsy. I can imagine that this has caused you both a lot of anxiety.
I wonder if you'd find it helpful to talk things through with one of our nurses. I'm sure that they would be able to offer you some support and advice about things. If you'd like to speak with them they are available Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm on 0808 800 4040.
Best wishes,

Hey
I'm experiencing the same with my dad they said he isn't fit for chemo therefore no purpose in doing the biopsy as he is scared to have it. Just feels like a waiting and guessing game now !!
I hope you got some answers
Hello, thank you for your reply. I am so sorry to hear about your Dad. Unfortunately my husband has passed away on the 17th December. He went into hospital on 21st November and they did a biopsy. He had aggressive Lung cancer. He came home on the 11th December and had a peaceful and pain free passing with me by his side.
I'm so sorry to hear of your husbands passing I was wary of asking as thought this may hve been the case. sending my thoughts your way at this tough time. I am glad to hear you have had some comfort in that he passed peacefully with you by his side.
It just feels like a waiting and guessing game now my dad is stage 3 b we belive. Hoping they will give another scan in a few weeks to see if it's spreading quickly or slowly.
thanks for responding to me
Hello love, you are welcome, I do wish your dad and family well
