Hi, I went to the doctors last week. I don't have a lump, more a thickened area but its in the lower part of my breast and close to my sternum. I also have a very itchy nipple. Because this thickening is in the lower quadrant I have read its unlikely to be cancer but I had breast surgery 2 years ago and the surgeon raised my inframammary fold and my nipple, so taking that into account I think the area would have originally been higher but it is still on the inside of my breast not the outside. Anyway, I have been referred and have my appointment on Monday next week but I am getting paranoid that the consultant will say its fine and not do a scan. I have been looking up paying for one myself as I'm so worried
