Two periods a month and being sent for ultrasounds

Hi all

This is my first time posting and I'm looking for some advice... wel not really advice just to see if anyone else has had the same symptoms of me and what they could possibly mean.

For the past three months I've had two periods a month, they are exactly two weeks apart so I called the drs and she has referred me for an ultrasound, one normal and one vaginal. She never said why just that she needed to check and she's sending me for blood tests too. I'm having no pain(occasionally a bit of an ache as you would expect with period pain but nothing I need to take pain killers for) but everything else seems normal just that I'm bleeding twice a month for 7-8 days with really big blood clots.

I'm booked in for my US at the end of November and I'm terrified as my mum had treatment for vaginal cancer last year. I was just wondering if anyone had the same symptoms and what the outcome was. I know not everyone is the same and I shouldn't worry until I have the results but I'm scared.

Tha k you for reading, sorry for the long post.
