Biopsy - mum found breast lump, they didn't like look of it

Hi

my mum found a lump in her breast and has been seen today, had a mammogram and told they diddnt like the look of it so taken biopsy's and had to go back next week for the results, sounds like the Dr already knows it's bad.  Am I worrying too early and has anyone else had the same experience. She's 74 I'm just so worried for her ️

  • Hello Ctf and welcome to Cancer Chat.

I'm sorry to hear that a lump was found after your mum had her mammogram and that her medical team seemed concerned.

Hopefully you will get to chat with other forum memvers who have gone through a similar experience with their loved ones as talking to others who can relate does help.

You mentioned your mum will be going back next week for the results so once you know more please come back and let us know what the doctor said.

    Best wishes to you both,

  • Hi Ctf

Really sorry about your Mum, I'm in the same boat, I had biopsys yesterday and the consultant said It's 'highly likely' it's cancer.. but I won't get my results until 26th November!! It's driving me mad, I've convinced myself it IS cancer but won't know for sure for two more weeks.. I do wonder if they know just from the way the scan looks?

The only thing we can do is try and stay positive... Good luck x
