  • Welcome to our forum, Steve32.

I'm sorry to hear about your symptoms and that they're making you understandably concerned but I'm glad you took action to have them investigated.

The waiting game can be stressful so try to keep your mind busy with other things if possible, as worrying excessively rarely helps but if you do need to talk your worries over feel free to post here as much as you need, hopefully other members will come along shortly to chat with you.

You mentioned you have an ENT consultation today, I hope all goes well for you and once you know more please come back and give us an update.

    We'll be thinking of you.

    Best wishes,

  • Hi Steve32,

Welcome to Cancer Chat. I hope you're getting on OK - I know it's never easy when waiting for results. It sounds like you've had various investivations so hopefully you'll know more before too long.

Do use the consultation as an opportunity to discuss your concerns about the biopsy and also ask any questions you have - perhaps make a note of these ahead of your visit and then also note down any information.

    Wishing you all the best,

  • Thank you Renata

I didn't know if it was fair too or the right place to post. But yes trying to keep busy too take my mind of the situation.. So Thursday just gone was my ENT appointment with a specialist consultant at 11.30am I had a missed call at 9.02am from the hospital so I tried to find out the reason for the call. So I attended the hospital and was told that my consultant had to leave and tried calling all patients... now I'm worried again as more of the not knowing and when will I know.. can a consultant give good/bad news over the phone?

    Many thanks  steve

  • Thank you for the advice ben

Unfortunately my consultant had to leave hospital the day of my appointment... I was left a missed call from the consultant just once but no voicemail so it's more  waiting around with the not knowing
