Hi. I had a fatty lump at the front bottom of my neck had ultra sound 18 months ago. Said All was ok. Sent for MRI on spine?!showing some degeneration in some discs. 
now 18 months on the "lump has doubled in size. I have aching in shoulder and muscle at the back of it and about 2 inch down from lump I can't feel lump there. Doc sent me for a fast track ultra sound this morning. He said the lump that had grown was a fatty lump and no worry on that. But he said I had a deeper lump just down from it. He couldn't say what that was. So referred me for MRI. which he said if not good I would need needle ? Biopsy then see. 4 hours later MRI rang and given me appointment in two days   This is great re nhs. But I'm so worried. I'm 62 always have a mammogram but he said it wouldn't show up on that. I am so panicked. And terrified it's bad and spread. 
Don't mean to sound such a wimp. 
has anyone experienced anything like this please
