Lump

Hi everyone,

Thought I'd get this off my chest on here as I'm absolutely terrified. Recently gave birth to my 2 month old baby, started off breastfeeding her and 3 weeks into feeding her I had noticed a small lump in my right armpit. Lump isn't painful and a size of a bean. I told my midwife at the time straight away and she was certain it was a clogged milk duct and said was nothing too worry about. I stopped breastfeeding baby a week later and over a month later the lump is still there with no changes in size or pain. I phoned the GP and explained about the lump and today had an appointment with the nurse. Nurse reckons it could be a cysts and is referring me too get an ultra scan too get it checked out. I'm so scared and in such a panick! I am a new mum and just thinking the worst. Could really do with some support right now or too hear from anyone in the same situation or has been through anything similar.

Please please please get a mammogram. Please do not waste any time because of fear.  That could be a big mistake.

My my partner had lumps in her boobs for years and did her 2 yearly mammogram but all benign.  However, 5 weeks ago my wife was diagnosed with breast cancer that's travelled to a few locations in her body.  We are completely devastated.
