Many if you might remember me, 2 years ago i had been to breast clinic due breast swelling, pain, discharge from nipple. Then i was told it was periductal mastitis and given 4 weeks of antibiotics. The pain still continued.. i gave up going back to gp. Last year i had an endometrial ablation for heavy periods and since then developed cyclic mastagia. In Sep 2020 i was diagnosed with underactive thyriod and was put on levothyroxine 50mcg(starter dose) since then its been over 12-14 weeks i have had pain,swelling,ocassional itchiness and stinging feeling. I saw the gp who straight away said that she was referring me to breast clinic on urgent basis. I asked her if it was due to levothyroxine and she said not and that it should not last so long even if it was the cause. So now i got to be there at breast clinic at hospital on monday on my own and have been told it will take long hours. I am really anxious even though i've been there it's just making me awfully nervous. Any comments will be appreciated, Thank you.
