Unexplained bone pains

Hello, I'm Emily and I'm 26.

For about 4 months I've had some really bad pains in the bones in my legs. Which have recently somewhat started affecting my right arm too. I'm a healthy weight and it is not injury or muscle related.

The pain definitely worsens at night. Everytime I try to research potential causes, cancer is the main thing that comes up.

I've spoken to my doctor who's been quite dismissive of me. I have another appointment next week, but I'm not even sure what kind of tests to request to rule in/out cancer?

Feeling very lost and worried.

No one on here will be able to tell you what is causing the pain in your legs. As you've experienced Dr Google is not a place for answers and will lead to unnecessary worry. There is many causes of leg pain and I personally wouldn't jump to thinking its cancer.

I know when my late aunt's cancer had spread to her bones the pain was unbearable and she could not get out of bed/walk.

At your next GP appointment, why not tell them your fears of cancer and ask why they think its not cancer, that may prompt them to order blood tests and in turn put your mind at rest
