Endometrial cancer

I'm 30 years of age been having problems for the 5 years With irregular periods and spotting/bleeding between periods the bleeding/spotting always seems to happen 13-16 days after last period some months it will happen briefly for a day then stopped for a day then come back briefly and then it will stop and nothing at all then there's other months where it will happen on and off for 2 weeks this has been going on for 5 years periods last 7 days with brown spotting for 2 days after and are around every 34 days doctor never take me seriously at all. I did have a ultrasound in 2017 which revealed a polyp and thickening was told I needed to have the polyp removed this never happened as I fell pregnant 2 months after whilst I was pregnant I had no bleeding at all which I thought was strange even after I gave birth to my daughter bleeding never came back till March this year I contacted the doctors again and they sent a request for a ultrasound which I didn't have till last week I went to the scan and was told I have a 22mm uterine lining but no polyps doctor contacted me yesterday and told me about the thickness and that she supects it could be cancer she was very apologetic and said she gonna send a request for a biopsy I've done nothing but cry since yesterday I have a 8 year old and 2 year old I don't want to die at the age of 30 has anybody else been through this or something similar thanks xx

  • Hi,

I had a scan 17 days ago due to changing periods. Mine have become longer, heavier and sometimes have sudden gushes of blood (sorry for TMI) I have cervical ectropian (think that's how you spell it) and always put the bleeding down to that. I even thought that maybe there was a pocket just keeping the blood there. Any way, my gynaecologist was horrid (nhs patient in a private hospital). He did not listen to anything I was saying (proof was in his letter). He did a TVS and said that something looked sinister and he wanted to do a biopsy there and then. He showed me the scan pictures and said that the ovaries looked good but I had a massive white/grey circle in the last picture. All he said was that my lining was thick and he needed to check it.

in his letter he lied a lot. He states he listened to me and reassured me but he didn't. He wrote that my lining was 16mm and one of my ovaries had a small cyst (egg released). I had 10 days thinking the worst as he made it clear that he was thinking something different but the letter completely contradicted everything.

17 days and still waiting for results.

I hope all goes well. Easier said than done, but try not to worry.
