Found a lump

Two years ago I found a lump in my breast which was past off as breast tissue after an ultrasound. Today, I went to see the same doctor after finding a swollen lymph node on my neck and also a really sore right breast more so to under my armpit and another swollen lymph node breast/armpit area.  Around the area

of the small lump is really tender and is sore and hard to touch. After a physical examination the doctor seemed a bit shocked almost as if it wasn't what she was expecting. She also told me that I would receive a letter to be seen at the breast clinic rather soon. Does anyone have any similar experiences good

or bad? The dr said the referral was put down as 'priority' Im sure it's nothing but in the back of my head there is a little bit of worry.

  • Hello Lamby95

I'm sorry to hear that you've recently noticed some further changes in your breast which have led to you being referred to breast clinic. I know that lots of our ladies here will agree that this can be a really difficult time and it's natural to feel anxious about things.

Try to take each day as it comes and keep in mind that the majority of women who are referred to breast clinic are not diagnosed with cancer.

Hopefully you won't have to wait too long for your appointment but if you'd like to talk things through with one of our team of nurses in the meantime you're welcome to give them a call on 0808 800 4040 (Mon-Fri 9am to 5pm).

Do let us know how you get on at clinic.

    Best wishes,
