Did your GP refer you as an urgent referral? This is what usually happens and, you should be seen within 2 weeks from referral. If you weren't given an urgent referral, this can take much longer.
Why not phone your surgery and find out? If it was an urgent referral, you can then contact the hospital to see what the delay is, or your GP can do this for you.
It would be helpful to ask your GP who he sent the referral to, so that you know which secretary to contact. If you phone the hospital switchboard, they can usually put you through to the right department.
