Hey. I am only 26 years old and I had a smear test October 2018 but not had a repeat due to COVID. 
 

In the summer my period cycle reduced form 38 days to 28 days. Then I started spotting around ovulation and didn't stop spotting and bleeding (intermittently) for 5 weeks. 
I booked an appointment with my doctor and she did a cervical exam in the office and told me everything looked ok but referred me for an urgent 2 week transvaginal ultrasound . 
I went for the ultrasound and then I had a phone call from my doctor 5 days later explaining my endometrium lining was 9mm thick which is slightly thicker than expected so they would like to do a repeat scan in 6-8 weeks this was 4 almost 5 weeks ago and I haven't had a period of bled since. 
I am a little concerned about this. Would it have been sooner if they were really concerned??
