Fast track to breast clinic

After my last post I thought it's best I took the people advice on here an booked my self to the doctor i did that and the lady doctor said I'm a bit lumpy on my side of my boob so have referred me to the breast clinic so scared incase I have the  C my kids dad died in 2009 with lung cancer my boys only have me

  • Hi there ...

Please remember 8.5 out of ten lumps are benign... my first four call backs from mamorgrams over the years were o.k ... and each time I panicked as some were hard and didn't move, others were more supple and did move ... the 2 week refural is normal ... so no amount of panicking will change things and you just may be fine ...

But if it is positive, there's lots of us living with and after breast cancer... we only hear the sad ones on t.v .. but treatments come a long way... so hold on in there ... let us know how it goes ... Chrissie... try to keep as busy as possible ... it really helps ... x

  • Hi Kell,

I am glad to hear that you have seen your GP and been referred to the breast clinic. I can fully understand your fear, especially after the recent loss of your kids' dad. I am so sorry to hear of his passing.

Fear of the unknown is always difficult to cope with, even without your unfortunate experience. You will feel better once you know either way. As Chriss has said, there is a good chance that you may still be fine. Some ladies have naturally lumpy breasts, but thhis can be normal.

I have had 2 bouts of breast cancer. The first of these was 11 years ago and the second was 10. I am still here and living a busy life.

Cancer treatments have made great strides in recent years and many people are now living with cancer instead of dying with it.

Do please let us know how you get on. We are always here for you.

    Fingers crossed for good news.
    Kind regards,

    Jolamine xx
