Worried about pain

I'm a bit worried. I've had so much pain in my coccyx recently, it hurts to sit down and move, and I'm worried it could be something worse. For around a year I've had "ibs/ibd" symptoms and they've finally diagnosed it as ibs but I'm worried it could be more.

I see my consultant for other issues including my hips, and since I kept falling I'm having a hip MRI tomorrow.

will the mri cover the coccyx? Just so I know it can be checked? 
It could be nothing, but my grandad died of cancer 5 years ago and it honestly scares me so much.

    I'm sorry to hear that you've had some ongoing pain recently in addition to your other long term condition. Hopefully the MRI will give the Consultant the information needed to find out what is causing these issues. 

    I know that lots of our members here will agree that the waiting for tests and results can be a particularly difficult time and if you've lost a loved one to cancer it's understandable that you may be feeling worried. Try to take things a day at a time anf not look too far ahead as that will only lead to you feeling more anxious about things. 

    I do hope that you have some answers soon.
