Yearly mammogram performed two weeks ago. Since then dull ache in lower left breast, tenderness in underarm,  feeling of numbness in arm and swelling in breast which is getting worse. GP said no change in mammogram since last year but she could see swelling and locate an area of thickening at site of pain. She mentioned the possibility of a false negative mammogram, l had never heard of such a thing. I should say that l did have a bit of pain in the breast a day or so before mammogram. I have a private appointment on Monday and am so scared especially by the continued swelling.
