No lumps but armpit pain?

Hello all,

I have no lumps, no changes in breasts etc. But I have pain in my armpit. It isn't there all the time, but I feel it throughout the day. Has anyone else had this? Is it just hormonal or could this be a sign of something else?

Thank you :)

  • Ahh thank you I had the pfizer booster about 3 weeks ago I'm not overly worried about it as its not constant pain think I'm just achey all over as I can press on my legs n they hurt just wana feel normal lol

  • Yes, same with me .. i have no lump but my armpit is swollen n hurts... its a dull ache .. i checked my armpit didn't find any lump. Even i have taken moderna 2 weeks back.. i am scared and started searching in google but couldn't able to get a clear answer.. i am thinking to book an appointment with gp on Monday..

  • Also wondering how everyone got on. Recently had my Moderna booster and had a swollen armpit for around 2 weeks. But been aching all over since having it!

  • Had an injury to my left arm 2010...got put on vimovo. Taken off it July 2021 due to kidney problems.  Woke with huge pain in left side concentrating under left armpit. Passed out with pain during mammogram in 2019. Asked gp for referral July 2021 no appointment yet February 2022. Private mri done today....waiting  on results.  Mammograms don't show everything and men don't get sent for mammograms if they have problems under their arm. If a woman gets palpitations and is over 40 it's anxiety..pat on the hand ...if its a man he's sent for ecg!!!! Double standards right the way through. Pain is always a warning....don't struggle on ...get help.

  • Did you manage to get any answers? I'm experiencing very similar. I have pain in my right armpit but I can't feel any lumps. I had the pain a few months ago and it's appeared again so I'm starting to really worry. It's so hard to get a GP appointment at the moment I'm worried it will take so long for any answers.

At the start I put it down to muscle strain but I'm certain it can't have happened again.

  • Hi everyone

    Did anyone get any answers?
I keep coming back to this when I Google my symptoms, I have had this for I guess 1-2 years. The tender/aching armpit on the left.
I had my son 4 years ago and felt I had a lump under my breast (left) and the doctor could not feel it but she sent me to get checked to the breast clinic. All was fine.

I have got this armpit thing since 1-2 years but I thought it was where I put weight on but that doesn't make sense.
Anyway now I have had baby number 7 I can't stop sweating, it's constant. Baby is 4 wks old and since I had the baby I have noticed my armpit has been so much worse.

I noticed not many replied I hope it's because they've forgotten or don't have the notifications and it's the worst case scenario!

Myself and baby have the 6 wks check up so I will mention this, that's on 10th so not long.
Feeling very anxious it's all I can think about and can't get any positive reasons of why this can be happening.

Has anyone at all had this checked and got a positive outcome?

  • Hello

I was wondering if you got the answer what's causing your pain after all?

I'm experiencing the same problem.I feel pain under my armpit, had a lump 2 months ago, pain is coming back.Got my appointment in breast clinic. They only scanned my breast, refused to scan my armpits because doctor wasn't concern about my armpits during manual examination which took place right before the scan.

I stilk feel worried and i don't trust their answer that my pain must be muscular

  • Hi did you ever get checked out?

  • Are you the lady that said you were in baby no 6 and your last lol?

do you think you could be hormonal with the excess sweating? Having early menopause symptoms? Not relating this to breast pain though and I'm feeling the same but definitely getting checked out - I don't like to ignore anything and won't be told I'm anxious as I wouldn't have been anxious prior to having the pain but obviously it makes you feel anxious as you are unaware why!
