Urgent polyps removal on uterus

Hi all, 

I went to the dr about a month ago as was having irregular periods after many years of monthly cycles.

i was referred for a scan which showed thickening of the uterus. Fast forward 10 days later and I have a Hysteroscopy and they found a large polyp and have referred me for surgery. My pre op is this Friday. 
 

im so worried that this is moving really quickly becouse of something I don't know about and scared about my two young boys being left without a mummy. 
 

is this normal to happen so quickly?

    It can seem scary when things are moving quickly but try not to overthink this if you can. I know that's easier said than done but with so many people experiencing delays and cancellations due to the pandemic, I would deem this as a positive and I'm sure some of our members who have been in similar situations will share their experiences about this with you soon.
