Lump on my cervix

I'm looking for some advice or help.

I found a lump on my cervix and I thought I'd just keep an eye on it to see if it went.

Any way in 2 weeks its grown. I made a go appointment with covid its all the more harder to get so I waited some few days. When I went she said she couldn't see anything but took swabs(not back yet)

I thought that's strange as although its small its easy to feel. So I thought I was over thinking it any way during intimacy with my husband it was painful and he said it felt different like something was swollen inside. So I checked my lump was there and I could feel it had got bigger but not so much round more like a horn. I felt again this morning and my cervix is more closed and I can't feel it. So I'm thinking the doctor has looked while its been closed hence why she hasn't noticed it. Along side this my periods are more erratic, heavier, spotting in-between periods. Im having pain with sex not all the time, im constantly bloated and having constipation really frequently. Im 33 and I've had 5 children but only 1 none c section due to complications. Has anyone had this and its turned out to be nothing. Ah im also exhausted all the time but I think that may be seasonal as I do suffer with sad.

  • Hi Mrsb86 and welcome to the forum.

I'm sorry that the doctor wasn't able to see the lump but I'm glad that swabs were taken and fingers crossed it won't be long before you get the results.

Hopefully some of our members who have dealt with similar issues will share their experiences with you soon but if you're worried don't be afraid of discussing your concerns with your doctor.

Also, if you have more than one GP at your surgery you could book in with a different doctor to get a second opinion. To find out more, just click here.
