Worried after colposcopy

Hi

So a week ago I went to see my GP due to bleeding after sex and in between periods. I had a pelvic exam and due to abnormalities with my cervix I was referred for an urgent colposcopy appointment which I had today.

 

For me it was uncomfortable but not overbearing. The nurse sat me down after and told me it "doesn't look good" and my biopsies will be sent for urgent review and I'll be sent a letter for an appointment to discuss the results with the doctor. 

 

I'm only 32 ,married no kids and now I'm worried I've missed my chance. This week has been the worst. Any advice or similar experiences?
