Suspected lymphoma, can't get in to see mum, please help

My mom was taken in to hospital,17 days ago, she has been for the past 9 months speaking to her gp surgery, with different symptoms, itching, extreme night sweats, pain under her bust area. No referalls where made, she was given creams and tablets. We rang for a ambulance as we were converned. She has had a bonearrow biopsy, scans and multiple blood transfusions. Today I have not been able to get a conversation out of her, she has slurred speech and can not concentrate at all. I spoke to the ward to try and get some idea on when tests results will be available. I was advised that a doctor would need to speak to me, we have been waiting all day, nobody has rang. I'm frightened that mom is not treatable and they are not sharing the news. I don't know what to do, I can't get into see her, no visitors

 I'm so lost

  • Welcome to the Cancer Chat community Shezjac although I'm really sorry to read what your mum has been going through.

Since making this post I hope you've managed to speak to a doctor and find out more about your mum's situation but if you'd like to talk things through with one of our nurses then you're welcome to give them a call on 0808 800 4040, Monday - Friday between 9a.m - 5p.m.

I really hope from here on out that the communication from the hospital improves and you're able to see your mum soon.

    Kind regards,
