I had an ultrasound on the 15th, following some abdominal pain, bloating, etc. I was told I should get the results today, but when I called up, the GP is now saying Wednesday. I'm quite concerned, as obviously I could see the ultrasound screen, and the nurse performing it seemed to go quiet when looking at the side with the pain on. There's a very obvious cyst on the opposite side, but on the painful side, I couldn't see any cyst. The pain has also been getting worse, and is beginning to shoot down my leg.

Is it normal for results to be delayed, or is it a sign of things to come?
