Hi I'm 34 mum of three has twins last year.
for many years I have had blood after a bowel movement always bright red and sometimes a sharp pain. This has come and gone for years.
when pregnant with my twins I had piles but since then the bleeding is there most times I go. So nearly a year. Sometimes my bottom is itchy others it's achy. I can't feel any external piles now.
I go to the toilet every other day and my stools are always big and normal coloured sometimes there is a streak of bright red blood.
I made an appt and have GP on Tuesday as there is a history of bowel cancer. Do you think they will refer me for a colonoscopy. The only symptom I have is the bleeding...could it just be a fissure?
