Tiny breast lump that’s SO PAINFUL!!!!

Hi everyone, I was wondering if anyone could help, I found a tiny (rice sized) lump on my right breast round the side near to my armpit that hurts for two weeks untill I get my period then it's just a bit sore for the next two weeks and back in a vicious circle again.

I had a scan done on this lump and they said it wasn't any sign of cancer, fast forwarding the pain in it is unbearable, I take paracetamol, ibruphen but if I somewhat skim past my lump the pain is so bad, I've tried to rub it out, hot compress but nothing is working; could they have possibly missing something? Is it something that's normal? Because it hurts more two weeks coming up to my cycle, Shall I try and go back for another scan? I'm kind of been left in limbo

many thanks.

  • Hello anna14,

I'm sorry this lump is causing you pain, but it's good news that there wasn't any sign of cancer. Lumps can occur for for all sorts of reasons, so there's no way of knowing what's normal. If the pain persists and you're still concerned, you should book another appointment.

    I hope this helps,
