Bleeding for ages

I've been bleeding for about 5 months now none stop, its been a clumpy type of blood which is normally really heavy, doctors keep putting me on the pill but nothing seems to be working been on the pill for a month now and it hasn't stopped the bleeding, I'm getting really scared as I'm only young and this never happened until I got the depo. Doctors don't seem concerned at all but I'm really scared as i was getting my perioud a few days a month until i got the depo, I'm changing constantly and spending so much money on pads and tampons. Really need so advice

    Really sorry but don't know what depo is .... but whatever it is, it is deffinatly not right to bleed for that long ... I'd deff look for a different opinion  ... maybe a lady Dr as it's more relevant to us lasses .. I'm not medically trained, but I'd be knocking down their doors by now ... I had heavy periods years ago .. which were due to polyps... and needed sorting ... it could be lots of things... so don't panic.. but do insist they do more tests to find out ... let us know how you go ....     Hi ... just gone to search engine to find out what depo is ... it's the hormone injection to stop getting pregnant ... it does say one of the side effects is ... May give you more bleeding ... that could be why they are not so worried ... it says it may settle down by a year ... 

    If I were you, I'd ask to not have another one as you can't go on bleeding like this and maybe change to a different form of contraception.... one which doesn't do this... there must be a lot of different other choices you can have instead ... x
