i had ectropian last year, to be honest I didn't really feel anything, The procedure is the similar to a smear I suppose, they use a speculum to see your cervix clearly, and can normally deal with it at the same time, mine was noticed and dealt with at the same time, all they did was used silver nitrate I think it was called, no pain, mild cramping that evening, please don't worry xx
