Colonoscopy finds LST in lower Bowel.

A week ago I had a colonoscopy when they found a number of polyps in my colon. Majority were removed but one 8mm polyp was near my Ileocecal valve which had a LST close by. Pit pattern was type IIIL and needs to come out one way or another. Had chat after procedure and report said a lot of info I didnt understand  but Endoscopist said it looked benign and I would need a CT scan to plan best way forward.

I'm now still having sleepless nights since just waiting for CT scan. Feel alone at the moment anxious and trying to stay off Dr Google.

Any advice.

  • Hello Merlin1311

I'm sorry to hear that you've had some health concerns recently which have resulted in a colonoscopy. I know that lots of our members here will understand how worrying this time of waiting for results and further tests can be. Giving Dr Google a wide berth is certainly a good idea.

Hopefully you won't have to wait too long for your CT but in the meantime try to take each day at a time and not look too far ahead as this will only cause you to be feel more anxious.

If you'd like to chat to one of our nurses about your concerns then you're welcome to call them on 0808 800 4040, Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm.

    Best wishes,
