lumps and enlarged tonsil

Around 3 months ago I developed a fever (negative covid test) which lasted for around 4 days with night sweats, thought it was a bit odd since apart from feeling terrible, and a very slight maybe sore throat I had no other symptoms. I did spot 1 white spot on my left tonsil so thought it must of been a touch of tonsillitis or something.

Fast forward to 8 week ago and I noticed I was developing a lump under the skin  behind my right ear, it's towards the bottom, at the rear, right in like the crease between the ear and the side of my head. I decided to monitor it over the next few weeks to see if it went away, it has gotten bigger and is hard to the touch, maybe the size of a garden pea.

I visited the doctors 2 weeks ago who checked it and said it felt structoral, didn't think it was a lymph node as they are usually rubbery. I did say it can't be structoral as it wasn't there before, he asked me what I wanted to do but then decided he would refer for a uss, but said it would likely take awhile and if anything changes to go back.

During the course of the following week I developed 1 on the other side but a little below my left ear, which did hurt a little but now is the same as the other 1 and quite hard. I phoned the doctors back last week, she really didn't seem concerned but said she would do some bloods as they would show if it was any kind of cancer? (from researching that dosn't seem to be the case but anyway) she said if they came back fine we should be ok to wait for the uss.

Had the blood test Friday and was told they usually come back same day and if anything urgent someone would call me, but to call Tuesday for results if I want. Last week I noticed I still had a small spot on my left tonsil which seems to have gone now, but I only relized then that my left tonsil is very enlarged compared to my right which can barely be seen, I noticed it was same size 3 months ago, so likely to have been like that since then or longer.

Not sure if should bother ringing them again and asking to be seen, and having the lumps and my tonsil checked as I feel like they are fobbing people of at the moment. I might see what they say but obviously if it is something serious then the sooner diagnosed the better, that is my worry that something serious would be left until too late. Am I worrying about nothing or should I be pushing for an urgent referral based on the above.

I would consider going private for the diagnosis in order to be seen quicker, but no idea how that works or who I would need to see, what would need to be invtestigated first the 2 lumps (possibly lymph nodes) or the enlarged tonsil, I'm in North Wales. I would want to be referred back onto the NHS for treatment.
