Teeth hurting after biopsy

Hi all

I had a tongue biopsy a few days ago on the left side, tongue isn't really hurting much still swollen though, however I'm getting really strong intermittent pain on my left teeth along with occasional ear ache/jaw ache! Noticing the teeth were really sensitive when I brushed today compared to yesterday

Just wondering if the tooth pain is normal?

  • Welcome to the forum Missvj although I'm sorry about the pain you've been experiencing since you had your biopsy.

Hopefully some of our members who have had this done will get back to you soon but if you're worried do be sure to let your GP know as they'll be in the best position to advise on this.

I hope the pain subsides soon and the results bring good news when they come back.

    Kind regards,

  • Hi, did you ever find out the answer to this? I've just had a biopsy this morning and I'm experiencing the same. The roof of my mouth hurts as well as some teeth on the same side as the biopsy.
    Thanks
