Neck ultrasound ... still worried!

3 weeks ago I found a bean shaped lump in the right side of my neck. Non tender, moves slightly when I touch it and isn't rock hard.

I haven't been ill recently so no idea why it has come up.
I went to my GP who said to leave it 6 weeks to see if it goes.

I suffer with health anxiety and couldn't cope with the constant worrying so I booked a private ultrasound scan.

The lady who did the scan said that my Lymph nodes appear normal shape and sizes. She said the one I can feel is closer to the surface and that's why I can feel it. But I've never been able to feel it before?

I just want it to go away as I can't help but worry and keep feeling it all the time

Has anyone else been told similar?

I am truly sorry you're very worried and stressed, i completely understand, i have been in the same boat but your ultrasound didn't show any warning signs so try to stay positive. I have had a lymph node in front of my left ear for 7 weeks then one day it shrunk and disappeared.

Please stay off google as it only makes our anxiety worse, call your gp and explain your worries, running some blood tests might help put your mind at ease.
