breast biopsy-results in 2 weeks and I'm terrified

Hi, first time posting here. Had a breast lump biopsy on Monday.I have now been asked to go back on 15th October and I'm completely terrified - it feels like such a long time to wait.

If the lump were benign would I be notified beforehand?

  • It was all just horrific for me. I have a huge fear of needles and always take my mum when I  need injections etc (I'm  in my early 30s but dont care! Lol). Thanks to covid I  was all by myself and I  had the fear of the needles, fear of the fact that it's a biopsy, fear of the unknown, and embarassment of crying like a baby, was too much for me. Also the local anaesthetic wasn't  working on me! So all in all it all really sucked!

I understand your emotions. I'm  the same, only I  don't  have children or anything. I can only imagine  what you're  going through in that sense.

I really hope everything works out fine for you, and all on here.

We will get through this xxxx

  • You are making sense .at least you could sleep,I can't sleep when i anxious. It was the worst 2 weeks of my life and all I could think about.

  • Good evening!

I also had a biopsy done last week (29/09/2020) after finding a lump in August. I was told the lump I felt was not a lump, and was changes to the breast tissue!

I got told I would receive a phone call with the results in 2 weeks time but then received a letter this morning for a video consultation with "breast surgery" on Friday (9/10/2020) so now I'm worrying even more .

I think the two weeks is standard procedure. But it doesn't make it any easier does it

  • The wait for the boipsy result was the worst for me . I got mine after a week later over the phone.
