Neck lump

Hi All I'm a mum of 4 I'm 27 ever since the birth of my youngest daughter 2 years ago I've had nothing but bad health issues...first started feeling faint and collapsed on 2 occasions couldn't eat or sleep which my gp put down to being a nasty stomach bug,,,that was October in the January I started having issues with my swallow felt as though I was chocking April had a barium swallow which was clear so no issues with throat or upper gi...all In this I've had itching skin which gp says can be a number of issues....I'm also low in ferritin ...fast forward to March 2019 found a lump just on muscle under my left ear superclaviur area so my gp referred me for ct of my neck which showed a goitre and few reactive lymph nodes but said he was happy with that I've still continued to feel so bad the itching is still there and the lump hasent changed I feel like nobody is believing me or am   Imagining all this I'm so scared and feel like I've nobody to talk to a relative of mine had non Hodgkin's lymphoma as a teenager with very similar symptoms I don't think I could cope with a cancer diagnosis I am not strong enough

  • Hello Mummyof42020

I'm sorry to hear that you've been dealing with ongoing health problems over the past few years.

Some types of anaemia can cause itching but it's clear from your post that you're feeling very worried about your symptoms.

I'm unsure if you've spoken to your GP about just how anxious this is all making you but it sounds like it would be sensible to maybe get in touch with them again. It may be that you want to write down all your concerns before an appointment and explain the impact that it's having on you.

I do hope that you have some answers soon.

    Best wishes,
