Should I cancel my breast clinic appointment?

I am 47yrs old and found a lump in my left breast a few weeks into lock down whilst showering but just contacted my doctor 2wks ago who rather than see me, referred me to the breast clinic due to my family history, (mum is 1 of 3 sisters who all had BC in late 40s) 1 died from it, 1 has gone on to have cervical cancer and  the other has blood cancer and is being tested for cervical cancer as we speak. Thing is the lump I have seems to be smaller than before so sure it's nothing to worry about, should I cancel my appointment as I would feel like a total fraud taking up an appointment that a genuine person could be using?  I am a single mum and have no one to talk this over with, I don't want my parents to worry as they have enough going on right now. Any advice would be appreciated.
