1st ENT appointment

hi all,

I have a ENT appointment for a large lump up my right nostril.

Due to Covid I have had a big struggle to get seen by my GP. Still not been seen but done a e-consult so they saw a picture, they gave me some steroid spray which would shrink a nasal polyp so they told me. It has not done anything.  They referred me to my local hospital which put it to a routine appointment and they are not seeing anyone due to Covid.

I got them to refer me to another hospital and they have told me the consultant would like to see me within 2 weeks so I have an appointment on the 6th October.

I'm just nervous about this as I'm worried its something more than a polyp.

Just looking for some advice on what will happen on this appointment and if anyone has been in the same situation with a lump like a polyp which turned out to be ok.

Thanks

  •  Its crazy times. It is so frustrating yeah I've had this for about 5 months when I first spoke to gp thats been going on for 2 months so all in all 7 months now. Its so worrying. They just dont want to see anyone. I work in a care home too so I get tested every week, but GP still wouldnt see me. Just thankful that the 2nd hospital does want to see me. I would push for a referral as I had to. I hope you get seen soon good luck and take care.
