Hi I'm a newbie today and just need to ask the people In the know a question or two please?

I am waiting for a fast track appointment to ENT for a problematic throat which started 5weeks ago. I had acute tonsilitis for which I had a10 day course of antibiotics (only had telephone appointment) As soon as the course ended the symptoms came back but worse, again a phone app and another week of meds. The whole while my throat felt strange and I knew there was something that didn't feel right (I've had tonsilitis alot when younger) fast forward and following another course of meds I insisted on face-to-face app. So now waiting for ENT App. My throat feels like something is stuck, I can swallow ok but I have ear pain and it hurts when I yawn plus a little croaky. I also have a taste like poison in my mouth and one tonsil slightly larger. Sorry for the rant, did anyone have a similar experience please, im quite worried but dont want to worry my family. Thankyou so much.
