Lump on neck and mild difficulty swallowing

Hi everyone

I am just on here seeking advice. Going back about 6-8 months ago now, I started having mild difficulties swallowing, in particular meats, bread, cereal and dryer foods. Didnt really think much of it as this wasn't an everyday occurrence, and I have just being more mindful about how eat (eating slower, chewing foods more etc after actually choking on a couple of occasionans). When I have issues sort of just feels like food sits in my throat then I have to quickly swallow again for it to go down or take sips of water. With the Covid stuff going on I tried not to read to much into this and avoided going to the doctors. Anyway, on 28th August (I remember this date as my sons birthday) I felt a lump in my neck, kind of just under my jaw, slightly to the right of my esophagus, finding that lump promted my to make an appointment at the doctors, the doctor has referred me for a scan on my neck as an urgent referral so i should have this within 2 weeks and to a speach therapist to look at the difficulties I have been swallowing.

Just looking for anyone that has or is going through similar, whatever the outcome.

Many thanks,

Jess :)
