Hi everyone
I've been reading a lot on everyone's post and response and you're all so supportive it's nice to see :)
ive just turned 39 and thought I had IBS, through lockdown down it became a lot worse and thought I'd give the doctor a call, I was very lucky to be fast tracked to have a colonoscopy 4 weeks ago. During the procedure they stopped because it was very painful and one polyp was a bit large and couldn't get past to investigate more
so on Wednesday this week I had another one but under general anthesitic. They found another 10 and removed them, 8 of them over were 2cm and the biggest being 4cm...
ive been invited back in 6 months and may need my apendix removed as they couldn't scrape the rest ouy
theyve been sent off for biopsy
in general positive, I'm still a bit shocked that it wasn't ibs and I lost my best friend aged 37 to bowl cancer, I feel blessed I have been seen so quick and had the opportunity but I do feel a little nervous to what the outcome is
has anyone had anything similar? Or had sessile serrated polyps?
thank you in advance
Emma xx
