I found a lump last week and thankfully have private cover so saw a surgeon on Monday. He said it felt like a cyst and I went for an ultrasound. The radiologist said the fluid in the cyst wasn't clear so she wanted to aspirate it to confirm it collapsed. The fluid wouldn't aspirate. So she took a biopsy.
the surgeon said it looked 'very benign' and I felt reassured - the radiologist said she thought it was an oil cyst. However I received a letter today saying that the lump was indeterminate so a biopsy was required. My results won't be back for another 8 days and after the letter today I am a bit of a wreck. I have a 7 and 5 year old and all I can think about is leaving them.
I know it's the wrong mental state to be in but I am really struggling.
any positive words of wisdom, fellow troopers? X
