I have been trying to understand the CA 125 test. I was getting pains & heavy period and pains for 2 months. Had no energy at all. Went up the stairs and thought I was gonna pass out. Feeling bloated and appetite has gone down. Went to Dr and got bloods done.  Next day Dr rang and told me I've anemia and iron prescription has been sent to chemist. He then told me my levels for cancer antigen CA 125 was 86.5. He told me he was going to refer me to gyno for suspected ovarian cancer as per the 2 week urgent referral guideline. 

I was worried as I'm 49 years old and couldn't rest so I have paid for a private appointment for a scan to see if there's anything that shows up. 

if something shows up then I will contact doctor. I done this to speed things up as ovarian cancer spreads fast and I didn't want to take any risks. 
just not sure if my level 86.5 is anything to worry about.

I'm 24 and I have recently had a CA 125 test, mine came back at 57. I have a cyst on my right ovary which has grown slightly and is about 3cm. Apparently there is a few different things that can raise your CA 125. I'm waiting to see a specialist as mine was also a 2 week referral.

Fingers crossed it's nothing sinister!

Hi, that is good news that all is clear. But it doesn't stop the worry. If everything was clear didn't they give you possible reason for high Ca 125 level. 
 

Did they do another Ca 125 test and if so how long after? 
I'm in similar situation but am worried as symptoms are always missed.

do you have any symptoms? I have fatigue, bloating & stomach pains. My levels are 86.5 

How long did it take to find the cyst, was it found on a scan? My levels are 86.5 but scan is showing nothing. 

Hi they did another blood test in march and the level wss the same got to go back agaik in September for another blood test.

Have you had any scans etc. I just have fatigue and stomach pains 

Hi, they found mine straight away, I had an external and internal scan. It's around 3cm now. I'm still waiting to hear back from the hospital x

Heavy period cramping, bright red blood  with clots and pain in stomachs for 3 months now. Started period 2nd June- Heavy too painful with clots, every time I'd have cramps I'd loose clots. fatigue, back pain,  no energy & feeling lazy. Constant tummy aches. Constipation and feeling bloated all the time after eating. 
ive been fit and healthy all my life and I know somethings not right. 

3rd June - went doctors -  due to no energy. Had bloods done. 

4th June Doctor rang and told me:
1. Anemia - ferrous sulphate prescription sent to chemist.
2. Slight under active thyroid 
3. CA 125 levels 86.5. Informed me he will make a referral. Wanted me to have a smear the next day but due to heavy bleeding we decided to do smear & referral on following Thursday 10th June. 

10th June had smear & doctor done internal. Urgent Gynaecologist Referral made (2 week rule)

waiting fir appointment now,,,

i am 49 had issues then had a scan showed a cost 3.8cm

send for CA125 blood test this came back 46

had a MRI 3 days later now waiting for results 

don't know how to feel or what to think
