So sorry you are going through this, I too had mammograms, ultrasounds and biopsies on Thursday and await my results on Wednesday. Feeling very much the same as you, petrified! We can get through these days and once Wednesday has been and gone, at least we will know what we're facing.

Hi Abi, 

Unfortunately they did. There were two very lovely radiologists doing my biopsy, the gentleman said he had found a lesion and needed to biopsy to find out the best way to treat it, so I asked him if it was cancer to which he nodded. When I asked if he was sure, he took my hand, tilted his head and said that the surgeons were great etc. The breast surgeon who I saw after confirmed that the radiologist had graded my mammogram as 5, indicating cancer. I asked if they still could be wrong, as I lost my mum to pancreatic cancer in January, and the thought of putting my family through this worry again is agony, to which she said its unlikely.

I'm holding out hope that they could be wrong, when they did my ultrasound they described the lesion as vascular, after googling (I know, I mustn't) I find some benign lesions are vascular.

I cannot wait until Wednesday is here and I know for sure, maybe then I will feel differently and my mind will be at rest. I'm 36 with 2 boys and a stepson, and the loss of my Mum is still so raw, I want to know 100 percent before I tell anyone so save any unnecessary heartache.

Dear Racheal please stay positive. Lots of prays for you too. It's only me and my 18 year old son at home so I had to tell him. My mammogram was clear as I have breast implants. But said I'm very worried about this lump and also found further lumps in my armpit. My appointment is not till 530 pm wednesdsy. I need to go Gp to get something for the anxiety. Just wondered if the doctor is just preparing me for the worst?
