2cm x 5mm lump found in Liver

Hi, new to this so excuse any mistakes.

I have been up all night after a call last night from my GP telling me the results of an ultrasound I had because of digestion problems that come and go. I don't talk to anyone else about my problems because I don't want them to worry..

Anyhow she told me the ultrasound had detected a small lump in my liver 2cm x 5mm.

She kept assuring me there was nothing to worry about because it doesn't look worrying and there is an absence of blood supply to the lump. Of course I am worried like hell despite her assurances. She was adament. She's referred me for a CT scan. Sorry to hear of all of your worries...

Thanks. Will

  • Hello Marshmallow,

I just wanted to welcome you to our forum. I hope you won't have to wait too long for your CT scan. It is reassuring that you have been told that it looks like there is nothing to worry about but I can understand why you are feeling worried after they detected this small lump on your liver. I know it is really hard but try not to worry too much or anticipate what it might be. The best thing to do to avoid thinking too much about this is to keep busy and distracted if you can and avoid looking things up online. I can imagine it is hard for you to do this at the moment but it will help you feel a little less anxious.

I hope you will also hear from others here who have been through all this before and that they will be along soon to share their story with you.

Keeping everything crossed for you that everything turns out fine.

    Best wishes,
