Hi ...I have noticed a breast change ...shape puckering and inverted nipple ! not good I know. My Gp has referred me to a Breast Clinic....we are due to fly to Portugal for two week holiday on 18th...appointment offered 17th !...I am 77 what if they do a biopsy...will I want to take an early flight the next day ?...one side of me says...yes your health is priority...but who knows if or when we might get away again...moved this holiday from March to now hoping all would be o.k...my daughter says go Mum and Dad enjoy your holiday...really don't know what to do...if we cancel of course we lose all monies.

Maybe you can do both - go to your appointment and also go to Portugal by requesting any biopsy is postponed. At least then you stay in the hospital system and doctors can have an initial look at things within referral guidelines. Just be aware you now have to quarantine coming back from Portugal in terms of booking any follow-up treatment/appointments.

I had the same problem last year i went had the biopsys no big deal new the sysyem and was aware results were available in about 2 weeks was so glad i went on my holiday enjoyed myself thourly came back was told it was cancer ( already knew ) and was in for a mastectomy 3 weeks later. My only issue is the quarentine of course they can telephone results but i presonally would not have wanted to wait the sooner your biopsys are done the better do not cancel your appointment then if still available go on the holiday best of luck
