Awaiting BRCA Test results

I was just wondering if anyone knows if labs have resumed the Brca testing yet?

I had the blood test just over 4 weeks ago now. But was advised these were being stored until a later date as Covid tests were taking priority at the moment.

Obviously they should take priority but my anxiety waiting is going through the roof now as all I keep thinking is with the ever increasing testing facilities for Covid my test will be forgotton about! 

I've tried calling the hospital but haven't been able to get through :(

    I hope that you've been able to get hold of someone to answer your question by now. 

    The availability of lab space and services probably varies quite considerably across the country at the moment. It's also worth keeping in mind that it can take a couple of months for tests to be completed in normal circumstances. 

    If you've been able to get hold of the genetic counsellor then perhaps follow up with the Dr who referred you for genetic testing.
