So, I'm 6 years post BC. I had a fall from a ladder at the start of lockdown 10/04/20 and was checked by paramedics who were fairly sure I'd just done muscular damage, they asked if I wanted to go to hospital, but I was in so much pain, I couldn't face getting back home from a&e, so didn't go.
Anyway, after a couple of weeks of severe pain reducing over that time, I have continued with chronic pain that hasn't got any better. After 12 weeks, I was eventually seen by my gp, who arranged for an xray, although he stated that treatment would probably remain the same.
Went for the xray and there was a distinct feeling of panic in the xray room, with an emergency referral being sent to orthopaedics. Of course, during covid19 restrictions no appointments were being sent out, so I eventually got a video appointment on 26th August, referred for MRI and got a cancellation appointment last Wednesday 2nd September, told it would be 7-10 days for results. Got a call on Friday 4th September to advise I've been added on to the consultant clinic on Wednesday 9th September. I know I have a grade 3 wedge compression fracture, which is stable, but the sudden speed of the last couple of weeks has me a little concerned.
Has anyone had anything similar?
