Lump in my breast

.. I've got a lump on my right breast sort of attached to my ribs.... I noticed this lump 18 months ago I mentioned it to a doctor in passing and he told me to keep my eye on it, it has always been kind of achey when it's that time of the month, but I started to notice it got larger,it's very hard and can be very tender at times (this is how I noticed really as my daughter would go to lie on my chest and I would flinch, subconciosly thinking about it).  I have lost my appetite and in the past year lost a lot of weight(3 stone) but this could be down to stress...my left nipple has gone inverted but don't feel any lumps in my left breast (i should probably mention I breast fed my for a year 4 years ago) and i feel like my boobs have changed so much and changed alot since loosing weight, i also get a achey right shouder and can feel numb down my right arm but then other times it causes me no bother and it's fine.... i dont know weather it is my anxiety that causes me pain but I feel like the pain is right where the lump is,  I got a referral off my doctor to the breast clinic 6 weeks ago and what a long 6 weeks it has been my appointment is Monday..... apparently due to covid it's taking this long... I do feel kind of silly writing this because I'm hoping it's something and nothing but I read other people's posts on this sight and found them quite helpful so I thought I would post my story....

  • Hello Georgia.b1,

I just wanted to wish you the best of luck for your appointment tomorrow. I am sorry to hear that because of covid it has taken so long for you to see someone. I hope everything goes well tomorrow. We are keeping everything crossed for you!

I hope you will hear from others here who have had a similar experience and that they will be along shortly to share their story with you.

    Best wishes,

  • Hi Georgia,

Just wanted to say good luck at your appointment. Anxiety can cause a lot of 'symptoms' in my experience, so hopefully this is the case, and your lump is something harmless. I'm going for my referral on Wednesday after finding a lump in my right breast. I'm trying not to worry, but it's easier said than done. Wishing you lots of luck xx
