Trouble swallowing, feels like something constantly stuck

I've been having on off problems with my throat for a few months but consistently for the last 4 weeks.  Was told it's probably globulus and nothing to be worried about. 10 days later still having trouble.

problem swallowing food/my own saliva.

contstantly clearing throat,

loosing my voice on and off,

ferls like something is always there.

ive now after fighting with gp,had a referral to ent for a gastroscopy in a few days time .

im petrified it's cancer

  • First, well done getting things moving via your recalcitrant GP. I'm not a medic but I think the good news is that your GP is not overly concerned. And you are going to get to the bottom of it, which is also good news. The wait for your appointment, and the results of tests/scans, will be hell. It always is. But you have a great chance of coming out of this with a clean bill of health. Hold that thought!
